Asian Pacific Partners for Empowerment, Advocacy and Leadership (APPEAL) is a national organization working towards social justice and a tobacco-free Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander community. Founded in 1994, APPEAL was originally a program of Asian Health Services, a local community health center in Oakland, California. It has since established itself an important national network providing key technical assistance and resources on health justice.

The goal of this project is to work with the Pacific Islander community in San Diego County to gather information that will inform culturally appropriate strategies to promote health. An advisory board of community leaders, members, and health professionals will help guide and monitor the project. The information gathered and partnerships built through PIC Health will lay the foundation for future approaches in community-based participatory research that aim to decrease health disparities in the Pacific Islander community.

This website specifically targets children and providing tips for parents to keep their kids healthy, but I think these tips and guides are useful for all ages. I love that this website provides so many resources and ways to lead a better, healthier, and happier life.

They usually promote it after Teen Mom or Sixteen and Pregnant, but many people overlook their sexual health and protection. It's Your Sex Life really is a great resource and provides information in a very easily, comprehensible format.
