I had a great conversation with a close friend about why we have a hard time accepting the positive things and accomplishments in our lives. This is not an uncommon feeling and many successful people often feel that they are imposters in their own bodies because they believe they don't deserve it. This is called the Imposter Syndrome- a syndrome that is extremely common, even among extremely successful people. This article is very helpful in identifying if you have symptoms of imposter syndrome and how to overcome it. The first step is always realizing that you have it and then making the conscious decision to pay attention to your tendencies in order to put in effort to change those behaviors into positive, self-encouraging habits.
