New Jobs, Happiness, and Resignation Letters OH MY!

11:34 PM

I got a new job

Now that we got that out of the way, lets talk about why the novelty of finding a new job has worn off. I don't like change. I've always been this way, things change and I have no clue with to do with myself. This job is so completely different from what I've ever done and I'm uncomfortable. Don't get me wrong, the people are amazing and the job seems ok, but I keep hearing this voice in the back of my head that says, "this isn't for you."

I believe that, because if I'm being honest, I felt it the day I got the call telling me that the job was mine. It's kind of hard to to get excited when you think about what you go through to get a job. You go into interviews with the knowledge that you are not the only one with an interest in the position. You get it because you are the best candidate out of however many were interviewed. That's kind of amazing, until its not.

I knew that leaving the last company I worked for was a must. I quit over the phone! But what this new job has taught is, retail isn't bad if you are working for the right company. I'm good at what I do I take pride in what I do. But, this new place might not be the place for Alana.

I guess it's back to the drawing board.
