A New Year: Make It Count

1:08 AM

Like every year, I refused to do the whole New Years Resolution thing. It's those promises we make to ourselves and the universe, you know the ones, I'm going to party less, drink less, go to Church more. Yeah, those lies.

I'm a firm believer in visions boards, and vision books. I believe in putting things out into the universe and allowing them to manifest into whatever they are meant to be. But, I put out what I want back, I don't make promises that I'm not going to keep. I also don't do those throw away resolutions.

At the moment, I'm recovering from the flu, and due to my recent move, my vision book is in storage, and I haven't had the time to pick it up. So, tonight, I sat down and made a list of things I want to accomplish in 2013. These goals are very realistic, and they are important, to me.  They are basically add-ons to the things I didn't get to accomplish last year.

The new year is always exciting for me. No, it doesn't erase the bad, or guarantee all will be good. It is however, a new year to do new things, and it's a time to make the new year better than the last. I've never carried the previous year into the new year, and I won't start now. As the picture I reposted on Instagram yesterday said, tomorrow, is the first page of a 365 page book. Write a good one.

The year just started, and you may not have a story to tell at the moment. But, keep a pen and paper close by, because as this year goes on, your book will begin to take shape. So, it's time to decide, how great will your book be? I plan to write an epic novel.

                  HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
